Amy Murphy works within tight deadlines to provide accurate, high-quality back-of-the-book and journal indexes. A broad liberal arts background and a wide range of personal interests support knowledgeable and efficient indexing in numerous subjects. Areas of competence include--but are not limited to--history, art history, library science, children's books, travel, outdoors, education, fitness, recreation, and sports. Amy is a member of the American Society for Indexing. ASI provides excellent suggestions regarding hiring and working with professional indexers, along with other helpful advice for authors and editors. |

| Rates |
Rates vary according to the type of material being indexed but typically range from $2.50 to $7.50 per indexable page. Indexable pages include all those pages containing substantive information, generally excluding front matter, notes, and bibliographies. Indexing rates also can be calculated per entry, per hour, or per project. Professors and non-profit organizations may receive reduced rates. Please contact Amy for more information. |
